ABOUT THE SHOW

Naut Human Productions presents Penny's Dreadful Parlour: The Séance of Edgar Allan Poe at the Ghost Museum in Berlin, MD for a limited engagement July 16–25, 2026.

Guests are invited inside Miss Penny Dreadful’s Victorian parlour for an intimate, hour-long séance experience where live music, immersive storytelling, theatrical effects, psychological illusion, and audience participation come together in an attempt to summon the spirit of Edgar Allan Poe.

As the evening unfolds, strange phenomena emerge, forgotten memories surface, and Poe’s presence draws ever closer—inviting guests to become part of the ritual itself. Created exclusively to premiere at the Ghost Museum, this one-of-a-kind theatrical experience brings the macabre world of Poe’s writings to life unlike anything else on the Eastern Shore.

Will the circle succeed in summoning the legendary poet... or awaken something else entirely?

All performances take place around Penny’s traveling séance table.

AUDIENCE INFORMATION

The museum will open 20 minutes prior to each performance for guest arrival and exploration.

Runtime is approximately 60 minutes and includes a brief 10-minute intermission, during which guests are invited to explore the museum's exhibits.

Recommended for ages 13+. Contains darkness, theatrical fog, sudden noises, supernatural themes, victorian séance rituals, live music, and discussions of death and the macabre.

This is an immersive theatrical experience, not a real séance. Guests should expect to be standing and moving throughout portions of the museum.

Please note: Guests must climb a flight of stairs to access the primary performance space. Due to the historic nature of the building, there is no elevator access. Public restrooms are located on the street level below the museum and may be accessed during pre-show and intermission.

Capacity is extremely limited and advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended.
