Meet Cullen Gray

My professional artistic career began in 2018 as an apprentice with Serenbe Playhouse, where I discovered the power of immersive, site-specific theatre: environmental staging, the intimacy of actor and audience, and the ability of a location to become an active participant in the narrative. That experience shaped my belief that audiences should not simply watch a story… they should feel as though they have stepped inside it.

Today, as founder and executive producer of Naut Human Productions, I create cinematic, actor-driven experiences that transform historic and culturally significant spaces into living story worlds. Audiences move through the narrative, encounter characters at close range, and discover the story through architecture, atmosphere, and action. My work spans Gothic horror, classic literature, musicals, historical adaptation, and original productions.

I collaborate with organizations, businesses, property owners, and creative partners to create immersive, site-specific theatre in distinctive spaces of every kind – indoors or outdoors, conventional or unexpected – transforming each location into an essential part of the story.
