Naut Human Productions presents A Christmas Carol: The Haunting of Scrooge, an immersive promenade adaptation of Charles Dickens’ beloved ghost story, at Aldie Mill Historic Park for a limited engagement December 4–13, 2026.

On a cold Christmas Eve, Ebenezer Scrooge finds himself haunted by the ghosts of his past, present, and the dark future that awaits him. Audiences will journey alongside Scrooge as the historic mill transforms into a world of candlelit Christmas celebrations, chilling apparitions, forgotten memories, and restless spirits.

Rather than watching the story unfold from a traditional theatre seat, guests will move throughout Aldie Mill, traveling between scenes and encountering the characters and ghosts of Dickens’ classic tale along the way.

Part ghost story, part Victorian Christmas celebration, A Christmas Carol: The Haunting of Scrooge brings Dickens’ timeless tale to life inside one of Northern Virginia’s most atmospheric historic settings.

Entry times are offered every 30 minutes throughout each performance evening.

Fridays: 7:00–9:00 PM
Saturdays: 6:00–8:00 PM
Sundays: 5:00–7:00 PM

Guests enter in small groups at their selected ticket time. Please arrive promptly for your scheduled entry.

AUDIENCE INFORMATION

The experience runs approximately 60 minutes and is performed as an immersive promenade production. Guests should expect to stand, walk, navigate stairs, and move throughout multiple areas of the historic mill as the story unfolds around them.

The production contains ghostly imagery, dark environments, theatrical sound and lighting effects, and moments of suspense, live music, and audience engagement.

Due to the historic nature of Aldie Mill, portions of the experience are not be wheelchair accessible.

Capacity for each entry time is extremely limited, and advance ticket purchase is strongly recommended.

Step inside one of Northern Virginia’s most remarkable historic landmarks at Aldie Mill Historic Park. Constructed between 1807 and 1809, this beautifully restored merchant mill once stood as the largest gristmill in Loudoun County. Nestled in the heart of the historic Village of Aldie, the mill is powered by rare tandem overshot waterwheels and remains the only publicly accessible example of its kind in Virginia, offering visitors a unique glimpse into the region’s industrial past.

And this December it becomes the set for A Christmas Carol: The Haunting of Scrooge!
